In Dublin 15 the weather is great and we had one of the greatest Easters ever. Matthew got 10 easter eggs. Tom got 24 easter eggs. Michael got 9 easter eggs. We love easter so do our friends. We do fun spring camps.

Here's some photos of us on the last day of term before the Easter Holidays.

We had a raffle today. Thanks to the PTA for organising it! Our winners were delighted...

We made an Easter bunny today. We wrote a piece about Easter. Have a closer look at some of the work!

We love St. Brigid's,
Yes we do,
We learn English, Irish
and Maths too.

In art we draw,
and P.E. we run,
I like them both
as they are good fun.

We have a good munch
for our lunch,
and when it's time to go home
we don't moan!

Easter is a fun time of the year. We all get eggs and chocolate bunnys. The bunnies are some of santa's helpers. Bunnies give us eggs. They are delicious.

I love easter and there's a secret easter chick. The easter chick gives eggs too. Easter is in spring.

I like easter eggs. Egg's are have different toppings and flavours like with chocolate.

After Easter we might win a competion. We have our easter break for 2 weeks.

Hello this is Tom and Philip. We are going to remind you that we are collecting entriesfor the school magazine. We would love for our class to enter in some pieces! Teacher needs them by Thurday the 10th.....or Friday the 11th if you reaaally need more time.

You can enter some jokes, stories, covers, poems, drawings, riddles, crosswords or puzzles! Our teacher will send in the photos for our class. We have lots!

We would love to see any pieces of writing. Thanks!

Hi it's Holly, Emily and Megan. We are going to be telling you about Easter. Easter is a special time of the year where we celebrate the Easter Bunny.

1.We get Easter eggs from the Easter bunny.

2.We have Easter egg hunts.

3.We wake up in the morning to see what the Easter Bunny has given us.

4. We go to mass and we say prayers.

5. We eat all our chocolate eggs!!!!

Yesterday two boys from Room 12 had lots of success in their speech and drama competition. We are really proud of both Tom O'Loughlin and Philip Byrne.

They read both their poems out in class this morning. Teacher really enjoyed the expression they used in their readings.

Today we received some VERY exciting news.

Three weeks ago Room 12 entered the 'Guaranteed Irish' Primary Schools Art Competition 2014.

1. We had to draw a picture with the theme of St. Patrick.
2. We completed the tie-breaker "It is important to buy Irish products and services ..."

I am delighted to announce that Jessica Cheung was shortlisted as a winner!

This is a fantastic achievement as there were over 3,000 entries!

Here is Jessica's winning entry.

Her tie breaker was "It is important to buy Irish products and services ... to support Irish people."

Congratulations to ALL of you who entered. All the entries were fantastic!
