Today we learnt all about the life of St. Brigid. Tomorrow is St. Brigid's Day and the first day of Spring. It is a special day for us as our school, St. Brigid's N.S. Castleknock, is named after this special saint.  We wrote about St. Brigid's life. Have a read :) We used different types of fabric and fibre to decorate her cloak. We have been learning about the organisation of stories. We came up with excellent sentence starters and descriptive words we can use in our stories. Today we worked in groups of four to make our books. In each group we had 1. an illustrator 2. an author for the beginning 3. an author for the middle 4. an author for the end You can read our books below!! In Maths we are learning to subtract numbers up to the number 20. The following game 'Alien Munchtime' links with our Space theme this month! Here is a song about the planets we like to listen to. This song describes whats happening on the planet Earth. Listen to it and try to repeat five facts you learn!
